Server Rules

Rules exist to ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for all players while maintaining a friendly and respectful community. Violations are subject to a progressive punishment system, ranging from warnings to bans, depending on severity. Some offenses, such as chargebacks or doxxing, result in non-appealable blacklists from the community.

If you believe a punishment was unfair, you may submit a ban appeal, though not all cases are eligible as stated above. Rules may change over time, and it is your responsibility to stay informed. By playing on VioletsMC, you agree to abide by these following rules.

Tier One Rules ✿


Alternative accounts:

Owning alternative accounts is allowed, but using them for unfair advantages is prohibited. Players may not use an alt account to evade punishments, or benefit their main account in any way. This includes but is not limited to AFKing on one account while actively playing on another.

Microphone disruption:

Making unpleasant or loud noises into your microphone, or using voice changes for purpose annoyance is not allowed whatsoever.

English-Only, no foreign languages:

All public conversations must be kept in English to ensure staff can effectively moderate the community to the best of their abilities, while keeping the server safe and friendly for everyone.

Channel Usage:

Use designated channels appropriately (e.g., only counting in the count channel, support inquiries in question channels, minecraft related questions in smp chat, etc.

Spamming:

Try and keep all spamming to a minimum, if you don't know if you're spamming or not, it's when you write more than 7-8 identical or similar messages within 5 minutes or less.

Self-Promotion & Advertisements:

Self promotion for your own discord server, minecraft server or any other form of promotion isn’t allowed within our server, take it to your dms if you want to share information with your friends.

Tier Two Rules ✿

Griefing or stealing:

Griefing and stealing are strictly prohibited both on unclaimed and claimed land.
This includes but is not limited to:

  • Stealing items, blocks, or resources that do not belong to you.

  • Placing blocks around, disturbing or altering another player’s build in any way without permission.


Purpose annoyances:

Intentional disruption and annoyance of other players’ experiences is not permitted.
This includes but is not limited to:

  • Setting homes at another player’s base to harass them.

  • Following players excessively or teleport request spamming.

  • Mild trolling, making fun of others as a "joke," or similar behavior.

Controversial topics:

Any and all controversial topics must be kept away from VioletsMC. These are subjects that often lead to intense public arguments, disagreements, or disapproval.


Impersonating:

Impersonating staff or other players is not permitted. 
This includes but is not limited to:

  • Creating Discord or Minecraft accounts with similar names to staff or players.

  • Claiming to be a current or former staff member, developer, or known community member when you are not.


Direct Swearing & Inappropriate Language:

Direct swearing at another player or in a violent manner, as well as usage of inappropriate language is strictly prohibited.
This includes but is not limited to:

  • Mentions of drugs, rude jokes, or inappropriate discussions.

Indirect light swearing, not aimed at another player, is allowed within reason.

Drama & Conflict:

Starting up any kind of drama or conflict will not be tolerated. Bringing up any form of punishment or past drama on the server is not allowed. If you have an issue regarding any of the mentioned above, please reach out to a staff member.


Server disrespect:

Direct disrespect to the server will not be tolerated. This includes insulting without any constructive criticism, spreading false information, starting riots against server staff or the server, etc.


Disrespect towards Staff & Players:

All forms of disrespect will not be tolerated in our community. If you have a problem with a staff member or a player, report it via creating a ticket, so that we are aware of what's happening and can take action if needed.

Tier Three Rules ✿

NSFW & Inappropriate Content:

VioletsMC is a safe-for-work (SFW) server. Inappropriate usernames, skins, signs, builds, items, or discussions about drugs, alcohol, illegal activities, or sexual topics are not allowed.

Playing while under the influence should be done responsibly and not discussed in public chat.

TP Trapping & Unconsented Killing:

Teleport trapping or killing another player without consent is prohibited.
This includes but is not limited to:

  • Luring a player into a trap or unsafe teleport location.

  • Using death pits, portal traps, lava casting or similar methods to harm other players.

Invading someone else's property:

Stealing another player's hard work such as claiming their land, farms, builds or chests will not be tolerated. Please keep a reasonable distance between other’s areas - minimum of approximately 50 blocks. 

Scamming:

Do not scam players out of in-game money, items or trades that involve any form of trickery, scamming or manipulation.


Harassment and encouraging harm:

Harassment of any kind is not permitted on Violets, along with encouraging any form of harm on another player or themselves. Harm could include but is not limited to violence, illness, self-harm or suicide. 


Malicious blackmail:

Maliciously blackmailing another user will not be tolerated here at Violets and if found guilty punishments will be given. This includes but is not limited to, forcing users to buy nitro, forcing users out of the server and in general any form of blackmail.


Unsafe links:

Sending or Linking harmful URLs to harm or obtain personal data from other users.

Tier Four Rules ✿


Doxxing and DDOS threats:

Do not threaten to release personal information such as locations or IP addresses, etc. This includes your own personal information. Do not threaten to DDOS the server or crash the server. 


Discrimination:

Violets is an inclusive environment. Everyone is welcome so that means that any kind of discrimination will not be tolerated. We do not allow any form of racism, sexism, homophobia or anything along those lines of any kind will not be tolerated. 


Tier Five Rules ✿

Auto Clicking:

All forms of auto clicking are forbidden on the server. That includes, but is not limited to using any form of auto clicker software, a drag mouse or just putting a book on top of your mouse.

Hacking / Cheating:

Using any form of hack client is not allowed on the server.

Use of blacklisted modifications:

Usage of disallowed modifications which do significantly impact others, the server, softwares or hardware modifications. Read Disallowed/Allowed Modifications in the next page


Tier Six Rules ✿

Exploiting glitches and bugs or withholding glitches and bugs:

Giving or selling glitches to other players and withholding those glitches is not permitted. This includes but is not limited to lag machines of any description, duping items or creation of glitches, Minecraft client or core server glitches


Farms and Grinders:

Any farm that causes performance impact to the network such as guardian farms can be deleted and removed at management discretion. In other words, no big farms.


Buycraft scamming:

Scamming users in trades that involve Buycraft purchases is a very serious matter and will definitely not be tolerated.

Irl Trading:

The exchange of real-world or virtual items of monetary value (including but not limited to cash, gift cards, Discord items such as Nitro or decor, or any other paid digital goods) for in-game items, currency, or services is strictly prohibited. This applies to both offering and accepting such trades. All in-game progression, trades, or work must remain within the game itself and not involve real-world capital.


Age restrictions:

Due to Discord TOS, you must be 13+ to join and interact in our Discord server, if found out to be under the age of 13 you will be banned from the server. We personally recommend for all minors to keep their age private for safety reasons. Lastly age does not affect you being allowed to play on the SMP, but it is encouraged to players under 13 to disable their chat or to play with supervision of an older person.


Chargebacks:

Charging back after buying something from our store is a straight up permanent ban that is non-appealable.

Terms And Agreements ✿

Please read and follow all of Discord’s TOS and guidelines!

Have common sense and be a decent person. Do not be toxic nor cause drama, do not bypass the filtered words, no talk of controversial topics and lastly don't encourage others to break the rules. The rules are very straightforward so please just follow them as if you don’t, there will be consequences to your actions here at Violets. Being a part of this server you are automatically agreeing to these rules.

If you choose not to follow these rules, staff have the authority to punish you depending on the offense made. Lastly, please note that new rules can be added or current rules can change at any time, it's your responsibility to stay updated and aware of the rules and make sure you follow them at all times.
