Server Rules Rules exist to ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for all players while maintaining a friendly and respectful community. Violations are subject to a progressive punishment system , ranging from warnings to bans, depending on severity. Some offenses, such as chargebacks or doxxing, result in  non-appealable blacklists from the community . If you believe a punishment was unfair, you may submit a ban appeal , though not all cases are eligible as stated above. Rules may change over time, and it is your responsibility to stay informed . By playing on VioletsMC, you agree to abide by these following rules. Tier One Rules ✿ Alternative accounts: Owning alternative accounts is allowed , but using them for unfair advantages is prohibited. Players may not use an alt account to evade punishments, or benefit their main account in any way. This includes but is not limited to AFKing on one account while actively playing on another. Microphone disruption: Making unpleasant or loud noises into your microphone , or using voice changes for purpose annoyance is not allowed whatsoever. English-Only, no foreign languages: All public conversations must be kept in English to ensure staff can effectively moderate the community to the best of their abilities, while keeping the server safe and friendly for everyone. Channel Usage: Use designated channels appropriately (e.g., only counting in the count channel, support inquiries in question channels, minecraft related questions in smp chat, etc. Spamming: Try and keep all spamming to a minimum , if you don't know if you're spamming or not, it's when you write more than 7-8 identical or similar messages within 5 minutes or less. Self-Promotion & Advertisements: Self promotion for your own discord server, minecraft server or any other form of promotion isn’t allowed within our server, take it to your dms if you want to share information with your friends. Tier Two Rules ✿ Griefing or stealing: Griefing and stealing are strictly prohibited both on unclaimed and claimed land. This includes but is not limited to: Stealing items, blocks, or resources that do not belong to you. Placing blocks around, disturbing or altering another player’s build in any way without permission. Purpose annoyances: Intentional disruption and annoyance of other players’ experiences is not permitted. This includes but is not limited to: Setting homes at another player’s base to harass them. Following players excessively or teleport request spamming. Mild trolling, making fun of others as a "joke," or similar behavior. Controversial topics: Any and all controversial topics must be kept away from VioletsMC. These are subjects that often lead to intense public arguments, disagreements, or disapproval. Impersonating: Impersonating staff or other players is not permitted.  This includes but is not limited to: Creating Discord or Minecraft accounts with similar names to staff or players. Claiming to be a current or former staff member, developer, or known community member when you are not. Direct S wearing & Inappropriate Language: Direct swearing at another player or in a violent manner, as well as usage of inappropriate languag e is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to: Mentions of drugs, rude jokes, or inappropriate discussions. Indirect light swearing, not aimed at another player, is allowed within reason. Drama & Conflict: Starting up any kind of drama or conflict will not be tolerated. Bringing up any form of punishment or past drama on the server is not allowed. If you have an issue regarding any of the mentioned above, please reach out to a staff member. Server disrespect: Direct disrespect to the server will not be tolerated. This includes insulting without any constructive criticism, spreading false information, starting riots against server staff or the server, etc. Disrespect towards Staff & Players: All forms of disrespect will not be tolerated in our community. If you have a problem with a staff member or a player, report it via creating a ticket, so that we are aware of what's happening and can take action if needed. Tier Three Rules ✿ NSFW & Inappropriate Content: VioletsMC is a safe-for-work (SFW) server. Inappropriate usernames, skins, signs, builds, items, or discussions about drugs, alcohol, illegal activities, or sexual topics are not allowed. Playing while under the influence should be done responsibly and not discussed in public chat. TP Trapping & Unconsented Killing: Teleport trapping or killing another player without consent is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to: Luring a player into a trap or unsafe teleport location. Using death pits, portal traps, lava casting or similar methods to harm other players. Invading someone else's property: Stealing another player's hard work such as claiming their land, farms, builds or chests will not be tolerated. Please keep a reasonable distance between other’s areas - minimum of approximately 50 blocks.  Scamming: Do not scam players out of in-game money, items or trades that involve any form of trickery, scamming or manipulation. Harassment and encouraging harm: Harassment of any kind is not permitted on Violets, along with encouraging any form of harm on another player or themselves. Harm could include but is not limited to violence, illness, self-harm or suicide.  Malicious blackmail: Maliciously blackmailing another user will not be tolerated here at Violets and if found guilty punishments will be given. This includes but is not limited to, forcing users to buy nitro, forcing users out of the server and in general any form of blackmail. Unsafe links: Sending or Linking harmful URLs to harm or obtain personal data from other users. Tier Four Rules ✿ Doxxing and DDOS threats: Do not threaten to release personal information such as locations or IP addresses, etc. This includes your own personal information. Do not threaten to DDOS the server or crash the server.  Discrimination: Violets is an inclusive environment. Everyone is welcome so that means that any kind of discrimination will not be tolerated. We do not allow any form of racism, sexism, homophobia or anything along those lines of any kind will not be tolerated.  Tier Five Rules ✿ Auto Clicking: All forms of auto clicking are forbidden on the server. That includes, but is not limited to using any form of auto clicker software, a drag mouse or just putting a book on top of your mouse. Hacking / Cheating: Using any form of hack client is not allowed on the server. Use of blacklisted modifications: Usage of disallowed modifications which do significantly impact others, the server, softwares or hardware modifications. Read Disallowed/Allowed Modifications in the next page Tier Six Rules ✿ Exploiting glitches and bugs or withholding glitches and bugs: Giving or selling glitches to other players and withholding those glitches is not permitted. This includes but is not limited to lag machines of any description, duping items or creation of glitches, Minecraft client or core server glitches Farms and Grinders: Any farm that causes performance impact to the network such as guardian farms can be deleted and removed at management discretion. In other words, no big farms. Buycraft scamming: Scamming users in trades that involve Buycraft purchases is a very serious matter and will definitely not be tolerated. Irl Trading: The exchange of real-world or virtual items of monetary value (including but not limited to cash, gift cards, Discord items such as Nitro or decor, or any other paid digital goods) for in-game items, currency, or services is strictly prohibited. This applies to both offering and accepting such trades. All in-game progression, trades, or work must remain within the game itself and not involve real-world capital. Age restrictions: Due to Discord TOS, you must be 13+ to join and interact in our Discord server, if found out to be under the age of 13 you will be banned from the server. We personally recommend for all minors to keep their age private for safety reasons. Lastly age does not affect you being allowed to play on the SMP, but it is encouraged to players under 13 to disable their chat or to play with supervision of an older person. Chargebacks: Charging back after buying something from our store is a straight up permanent ban that is non-appealable. Terms And Agreements ✿ Please read and follow all of Discord’s TOS and guidelines! Have common sense and be a decent person. Do not be toxic nor cause drama, do not bypass the filtered words, no talk of controversial topics and lastly don't encourage others to break the rules. The rules are very straightforward so please just follow them as if you don’t, there will be consequences to your actions here at Violets. Being a part of this server you are automatically agreeing to these rules. If you choose not to follow these rules, staff have the authority to punish you depending on the offense made. Being non-pay2win the economy system we have implemented gives a chance for any player to be on top of the leader boards! In-Game Shop The server utilizes an in-game shop that is customized to not allow inflation and deflation of certain items to keep the economy stable. You can view the in-game shop by doing /shop . Our in-game shop is also designed to allow some items to only be obtained by purchasing from other players to enhance our /warp playershop server addition. You can read more about the playershop on the next page.  Best Items to sell  In our economy, there are many things players sell to earn money! Some popular items include netherwart, cookies, and pumpkin pie, these can be placed in chests to sell with Sell Wands. These sell wands can be obtained from the Vote crate, buying from other players at playershops, or through the VioletsMC store. Playershops Ever wanted to own your own store and sell items to other players? Well, now you can! Visiting playershops by using /warp playershops takes you to a world full of different stores! In this area, you're more than welcomed to buy items from other players or set up your own little shop to sell things to others!  How do I get my own shop?  First, you find a vacant plot and rent out a space! Players are able to rent their area on a weekly basis using in-game currency! Clicking the sign, you can choose the amount of weeks you buy, maximum being 28 days! Once you've rented out an area, you may build to your hearts content! Now the shop is all yours, so decorate it as you see fit!  Step-by-step guide on how to set up a chest shop: Place a chest Hold the item you wish to sell and punch or left-click the chest with it Type in chat the amount you want to sell it for. Example: 10 A sign with your name and the price will appear in front of the chest; this means you have set up your shop successfully! Fill up the chest with the item, and you are done! How do I buy things from other playershops?  Once you've found something you deem worthy of buying, simply left-click the sign placed on the chest. Information regarding the item will pop up on the left side of your screen. With the information given, you are able to see a preview of the item, how much the item is, as well as how much of it is in stock! To finalize the purchase, simply type how much you want to buy, and that should be it! The item should immediately appear in your inventory. Green username = Shop has stock Red username = Shop doesn't have any stock  Frequently Asked Questions/Concerns regarding playershops!  There have been some concerns regarding player shops, and to ensure all players know exactly what they're getting into, we'll be more than happy to provide more information regarding playershops here! Some friendly reminders regarding playershops:  If you rent a plot and that rent expires (meaning you did not pay it in time for it to renew), your build and everything on it will be automatically deleted, and those items will not be returned. Scamming or tricking a player into buying an item disguised as a different one is prohibited and will result in punishment. Every player is only able to rent one plot at a time. Here is all you need to know about our team's feature! Commands and FAQ How many people can be on one team? Currently, it is 22 people per team, and you are only allowed to be a part of 1 team at a time. (Making sub-teams to increase your team's player count is not allowed either.) Where can I find teams that I can join? Located in our discord server, under "SMP Related" there is a channel marked "Find a Team" in channel you can see all of the teams that are accepting players currently, or you can advertise your own team here as well! What are all of the things that you can do with a team? There are quite a few things you can do with a team! Some teams just enjoy the smp and play together, building amazing team bases; then there are those who have lore, spending quality time laughing together; while others grind to complete team challenges to gain more team points to be the best team out there. What are some useful commands I should know? /team :  The base command for creating and inviting players to your team. /team join :  Allows the players you invite to your team to accept any invitations that they receive. /team leave : Allows players that are not the Owner of the team to leave the team, If you are an owner transfer ownership of your team first. /team disband :  Allows owner to disband teams /team info (username) : Allows you to look at details of a specific player's team Team Challenges Team challenges are challenges you can complete weekly to put points towards your teams standing on the Team Top Leaderboard. The top three teams are displayed at the Teams Top Points display area. Each member of your team will receive three team challenges per week that can contribute to your teams points.   Commands and FAQ How to access team challenges? Once you are in a team, you can use /challenges to open the challenges pop-up. Navigate to find 'Team Challenges' and by clicking on that, you will be able to see your team challenges for the week. You can see the information of the challenge by clicking on the items displayed! Challenges Challenges are a perk in the server which you are able to complete. Read  Team Challenges  for more information! Claiming System Claiming is a mechanic that allows all players to protect their land from griefing or stealing by other players. Naturally, a claim prohibits all players, except the owner of the claim, from breaking, placing, and interacting with blocks. The owner of the claim can add members to the claim, granting them various levels of permissions in the land. Players can also use signs to claim specific doors, gates, and chests alone, locking them for all other players. How to Claim Get a Golden Shovel: Obtain with  /kit claim . Select the First Corner: Right-click on the ground with the golden shovel to mark the first corner of your claim. Select the Opposite Corner: Move to the opposite corner of the area you want to claim and right-click again with the golden shovel. Claim Confirmation: To confirm that the land is claimed, a visual outline of glowstone and blocks of gold will appear like an outline of the claimed land. Trusting Commands /trust (Username) : Grants a player permission to break, place, and interact with blocks. /containertrust (Username) : Grants a player access to containers, crops, animals, bed, and buttons/levers. /accesstrust (Username) : Grants a player access to your bed, buttons, and levers. /permissiontrust (Username) : Permits a player to share their permission level with others. /untrust (Username) : Removes all permissions of a player in a claim /trustlist : View all players with permissions in your claim. Other Commands/Features /Claimslist : View all your current claims, including the coordinates of each, and how many total claim blocks you have used and have available. /Unclaim : Removes the claim you're standing in. Using a stick, right-click the ground to check if that land is claimed /trapped : If you're stuck in a claim, simply run this command  If the scoreboard is enabled, details of the claim you're currently in appear on the right-hand of your screen!  Claim Blocks Claim blocks tell you how many blocks of land you have available to claim. You can view how many claim blocks you have by using the command /claimblocks This is what will show up after doing the command Players can obtain claim blocks by completing challenges, playing chat games, and buying them from the store .   Claiming Chests, Doors, and Gates Obtain a sign: Craft with 6 wood planks and 1 stick. Place the sign on the block: Right-click the chest, door, or gate with the sign. Claim Confirmation: To confirm that the block is claimed, a message will show up in chat stating "Created a claim. Only the people listed on the sign can access it." Add friends to the claim: Right-click the sign, move down to next open line, and add the username of a player to grant them permission to use the chest/door/gate. Voting System & Daily Rewards How Do I Vote? The easiest way to reach the vote page is by doing /vote from within the Minecraft server or you can type in  https://violetsmc.com/vote/ into your chosen browser which should bring you to this page: You can access the vote pages by clicking on any of the five buttons which should open a new tab. Follow the instructions on page making sure to put in your CURRENT Minecraft username (any old usernames will not receive the rewards) and complete the reCAPTCHA correctly. Bedrock players make sure to include the '.' in front of your username. Please wait a little time for the votes to reach your Minecraft user, they are not physical and will not appear in your inventory.  How often can I vote? You can vote once per day per link which totals at three votes a day. Can I V ote offline? Yes you can just make sure to /vp claim or /vp claimall when you join back into the server. Where can I use my vote keys? In the Minecraft server you can use /warp votes and make your way to the crate shown in the picture below and right click to spend your keys.  What are vote parties? Vote parties happen when the server reaches a certain number of votes, and everyone who voted that day who is online receives an extra vote key.  What can I get from voting? You are more likely to obtain lower rarities than higher ones. You can develop a daily reward streak which will appear on the side of your screen named 'Streak:' followed by a number of how many days you have consecutively claimed your daily reward. As you build up your streak you will receive more / higher value rewards when you collect your daily login bonus. How can I see how long until I can claim my daily reward again? You can use the  /rewards command or visit the rewards npc at spawn, by clicking on the Ender chest the red text reading 'Claim again in:' will state the time until you can claim your rewards again. Can I collect my daily rewards offline? You cannot collect your daily rewards offline. If you are unable to log on to claim your daily rewards within 24 hours after your last rewards claim your streak will reset back to one. ewgfwEnter section select mode Cosmetic System Furniture Furniture can be obtained from the cosmetic shop at /warp cosmetics , you buy the furniture using cosmetic tokens, which can be bought at the Violets store or won from daily rewards and challenges! Plushies We have so many cute and unique plushies for you to collect. Plushies can be gotten through crates! You can buy crate keys for the plushies from store.violetsmc.com . There are occasionally a range of seasonal plushies for example easter collectables and spooky creatures at Halloween. There are also custom plushies where you can have your own skin displayed on one of our many regular/seasonal custom plushies. The Archive The Archive is a place where previously released crates get a second chance. Below, you can find a list of the current crates found in there. Winning them from the vote crate Completing challenges Crates & Skins Violets will always have 3 to 5 seasonal or rotating crates available at /warp crates ! The crates that appear here are always new releases and are on a 2-4 week rotation! When a crate gets removed, it may not be gone forever, as it has a chance to appear in the archive starting next season. How to obtain crate keys The best way to obtain crate keys is to buy them at the  Violets Store. You can also win them through challenges, giveaways, and events!  How to open the crate Instead of using physical keys violets uses a system that automatically registers the keys you have above the crate they are for, and to open the crate you just right click it, and if you have multiple, you can shift right click to open them all at once! How do skins work? When you've acquired a skin, you can either use /skins command, or go to spawn and talk with Seb the npc to apply it onto a tool or armor! Place your items in the designated boxes, and then you have your customized item. Staff Ranks You may see us all around the server, but what does each rank of staff do?  DIRECTOR Our Director Ryan is in charge of running the server behind the scenes and helping push out our newest features. MANAGER Managers keep all of our teams in line and efficient while helping alongside Ryan. LEADERSHIP TEAM The Leadership Team (or LT for short) oversees smaller branches of our Content Team like QA, Events, Media, and Build. They also assist in tickets when needed. ADMIN Admins assist leadership team on the support side of things, they are able to help with staff reports, applications, and give feedback on more tricky situations. They help players with everyday issues, but can also hold additional responsibilities like overseeing build or QA teams.  MOD Moderators are core staff members whom players reach out to! They mentor our helpers and help with rolling back houses after griefing, among many other things. HELPER Helpers are our mods in training, they can answer any questions you may have and collect evidence for any punishments. CE Community Experience creates fun events, comes up with ideas, tests updates, and watches over the server from a player experience point of view. MEDIA Creates fun videos and promotions for our social media platforms. BUILD Build team builds all maps, structures, and builds things like spawn, lobby and warps for the server. They're also one of the coolest team ever. QA Quality Assurance helps by creating custom mobs, coming up with and testing new features, creating models, and learning coding.  How do I apply? Browse through our applications in our discord tab "Staff Apps" and select a team you want to apply for! The open teams will have a link next to them! 2. Fill out your application! Make sure that the application is set to allow anyone with a link to view 3. Message the bot "Violets Applications"  4. Your part is all done! Now all you have to do is hang tight and wait for a staff member to schedule an interview with you. Best of Luck!! Custom Food We have custom foods here at violets! Each food can be obtained either through buying them with in-game money from the custom food npc or through crafting them. These foods grant you different special effects alongside saturation and food. Below you can see two example foods. How do I craft custom foods? All custom foods are craftable, however, the recipes are there for players to discover! This is a chance for you to work together with your team, friends or ask others within the community on how to craft these items. Seasonally, there are even easter eggs added into the custom foods. Note: Unfortunately, bedrock players are unable to craft custom foods due to plugin limitations. Discord Features Ticket System What are tickets? Tickets are a custom feature of VioletsMC where you can speak to a member of the staff team about any issues you may have. Staff will often recommend you to open a ticket if you are in need of assistance. How do I open a ticket? You will find the bot named Violets | Tickets under the bots role. Simply click on it and type out your message. The first message you send will automatically open a ticket, you do not need to say anything in specific to open a ticket. When opening a ticket be sure to share your IGN (In-game name) , and the issue you need help with in detail. What can I open a ticket for? You may open a ticket for issues regarding  D iscord and Minecraft . Some examples of common situations include, but are not limited to : Queries about how the Minecraft or Discord server work Issues joining the Minecraft server You suspect you have been griefed or stolen from Ban Appeals Player / Staff Reports How long till someone responds to my ticket? Tickets are monitored by our staff team, and whilst we have a range of different time zones, we may not always be available right away . If you have not received a reply in  24 hours , feel free to send another message to prompt a response.  Occationally, the ticket bot might be down and offline; in this case, a ticket will not be opened. However, if a ticket is already open, any messages sent to the bot while it's offline will get forwarded to staff after it is back up again. Why does it say I can't open a ticket? The most common reason for not being able to open a ticket is your privacy settings.  How do I open a ticket if I'm banned from the Discord server? You can ask a Support Team member for help while in-game. If you wish to appeal your Discord ban, you will have to email ryan @violetsmc.com . Don't worry, your email or private information will not be shared with anyone but The Director Ryan himself.  Questions You have a question that you may not be ticket worthy? The best place to go is our questions channel, members of staff are actively checking that channel so your question will be answered as quick as possible! Whether the question be a technical issue a general Minecraft question, Violets or discord related there will also be someone with a answer or solution! Suggestions Find something you think our server should add?  Look no further, here's how to make a suggestion for in-game features or events! Step 1: Head to the help category and click the suggestions channel   Step 2: Click the new post button in the top right corner to create a suggestion   Step 3:  Create your suggestion, then click the tags bookmark in the bottom left hand corner to select what type of suggestion category you would like. Then simply click save then post your suggestion!   Step 4:  Congrats! You officially made a suggestion! Now all that is left is to wait for it to be accepted or denied by managers! You will know that they've looked it in Suggestions: Results Violets Only Chat What is violets only chat? Violets only chat is a special section in our Discord server for our players with the violet rank. In this channel, there may be sneak peeks for upcoming features and giveaways for new releases, but also just general chatting! In-Game Chat In-game chat is another Violet rank exclusive feature which allows players to read and chat in the Minecraft game chat without even being online. I have violet rank! How do I access these channels?  To access these channels, you have to link your Discord account to your Minecraft account! To do this, join our minecarft server and run /discord link command, and you will then receive a code. Send this code to our Discord Utility Bot, to link your accounts together.
